ACC’s 7 Core Values

Biblical Authority: We value the Bible and believe it is God’s revealed Truth. We seek to communicate its truths with excellence and relevance. Excellence honors God and inspires people. Compelling Environments: Since people matter to God and since lives are transformed through relationships, we value compelling environments, both small group and large that have an outreach orientation. Authentic Community: People matter to God. We desire that no one does life alone and that everyone finds a place of true Acts 2 community. (Acts 2:42-47) Total Life Worship: Total life worship includes focusing our minds on God, expressing our affection to God and using our abilities for God. Honest Environments: We value honest questions and are committed to providing a safe environment where we all can learn & grow on our spiritual journey. Community Transformation: In a culture driven by selfishness and greed we value service and are committed to making a difference by serving our community and the world. Child-Focused: Jesus deeply loved children and because critical life choices (particularly spiritual) are made in the 4/14 age window, we invest ourselves in kids!

Our Beliefs

Where the Bible speaks clearly we speak with authority. Where it is unclear we refuse to be dogmatic. The following are what we would call our core beliefs.

1. We believe in the inherent worth of every person created in the image of God. (Gen. 1:26-27; Psalm 139:1-4)
2. We believe that God intends for all to live joyfully and find meaning in life. (Jn.10:10)
3. We believe that Jesus Christ provides joy and meaning in life and that the Bible is our perfect guidebook for living. (John 10:10, Rom. 5:17, II Pet. 1:19-21, II Tim. 3:16)
4. We believe that a personal relationship with Jesus Christ is a reality all can experience as they receive God's forgiveness and allow the Holy Spirit to transform their lives.(I Jn.1:9; Heb. 4:14-16, 7:25; Jn.3:3-6, 14:16-17; Rom. 8:9)
5. We believe that the Church is the Body of Christ of which He is the Head and that all Christians are called to meaningful service in the Church. We believe that the church should be led by those with the gift of leadership (Eph. 1:22-23; Col. 1:15-20; I Tim. 4:14; I Cor. 12)
6. We believe that Christians are called to live holy lives of integrity and their character is to reflect the character of Christ. (Gal. 2:20, 5:16; Rom. 6:22; I Pet. 2:21; Heb. 12:14; Jn. 13:14-15)
