ACC Summer Events

In Deuteronomy the Scripture encourages a type of fellowship and discipleship that could simply be called “hang time”. Look up Deuteronomy 6:5-9. (Get it? 659.

) So we do a lot of that at ACC. We do life together. The events below are great ways “to hang” with friends and an even better way to MEET NEW FRIENDS this summer!

Our summer 659’s for 2010 have 4 different LOOKS!

There are some regular type 659’s, Many of these happen regularly on a weekly basis.
There 659 Summer Events – a smorgasbord of events for those interested in many different things, from sports, to camping to Ladies ONLY to soup.
There are events during the summer for LifeGroups (Small groups) to get back together for a time or two. Check with your group on this one.
And there is a NEW SUMMER FOCUS @ ACC that we are calling UN2. We aren’t planning or coordinating this but we know this could be huge if everyone commits to trying it.

Biking 659:
i. Fun Family Trail Ride Monday at 6:30 from Bandstand at Arena (Begins June 28th)
ii. Sunday Road Rides (a relaxed comfortable pace) Sundays at 2:00pm from Kevin Vincent’s
August OUTDOOR Prayer Nites – "ALL IN" and FALL FOCUS – Wednesday, August 4, 11, 18, 25 @ 8:00pm (ACC)
Walkaerobic: Sunday, Wednesday and Thursday @ 6:30pm (Children`s Centre)Contact MaryBeth, 485-2047
Mom’s & Kids @ the Park: (Bi-weekly) Get together at Sullivan Park, Sussex Corner. Contact Kyla, 434-0628. Starts June 30

Summer 659 Events:

Family Camp at Fundy Park: Fri. July 16- Sun. July 18. Cost will be 4.95/person/night + park entrance fees. For more details contact Cara Seely 433-8618.
Family Sports Day: Bring the family and come out to take part in a fun “family” game of soccer baseball. This is for all family members-all ages. Sunday Aug. 15th at 6:00 pm at the Apohaqui Elementary field. For more info contact Glen Munford, 433-1466.

Apohaqui: Summer Soup Luncheons (July 18th and August 22nd)
Hampton: Sunday Barbecue Tailgate Parties (July 18th, August 15th). After Church.Come and enjoy a hotdog and fun in the sun and connect with others who are a part of ACC Hampton.

Hampton S’More Nights: Thursday July 22nd and August 12th at 6:30pm at the Cummings (832-3500)

UN2 Events:

So this is cool! We are asking you to plan a UN2 event. For many of us it is easier to meet new people when we get to hang with someone we already know. So this summer plan a UN2 events. Get it? You and two.

So we are asking you to do 2 UN2 events this summer. It’s all about hospitality! Invite a friend out for coffee AND someone else at ACC you don’t know. Invite a family over for a barbecue AND another family that you don’t know. Plan a day at the cottage or a hike with a friend, couple or family you know AND invite another ACC’er couple or family you don’t know. Getting clearer? We think this could be amazing way to connect this summer and an AWESOME way to meet NEW ACC’ers! SO please, start thinking today and planning your own UN2!
