Would you consider yourself a loyal person? Is loyalty a character trait that you value? When you commit to doing something is your word your bond? If you have committed your life to Christ, the truth is this - you have made a “switch”. Your loyalty now is to a new Kingdom. Your loyalty now is to new priorities. Your loyalty is you a new person – Jesus Christ. To coin a phrase .. “If you say you are … you have to be!” You have no choice if you say you are a Christ-follower … you have to be all that that requires. It’s a life long journey.

The book of Ephesians in the New Testament is one of the most influential books in the entire Scripture. It is about as contemporary a book as you can imagine. It describes human beings, their predicament, their sin, their delusion … But more than that it reveals a God who has reached out to renovate the lives of people and to recreate them into a new and transformed community. Paul’s letter instructs us how to live and calls us to “switch” our allegiance and our loyalty and to place it in Jesus Christ.
